I really can’t believe that my last post was over a month ago. I have no excuse other than the fact that I have been too tired to write much of anything this last month or so. After painting the bedroom, I became the victim of the “cascading paint effect.” The bedroom looked so good that I decided to replace all the doors in the house to make them match. That really looked good, so then it was decided to strip the wallpaper from one bathroom and repaint it. The stripping of the wallpaper revealed a lot of damage to the walls and floors that had to be repaired before we could put in new tile and install crown molding (can you do that in the bedroom, too?). That was completed. While we are at this (I said while in delirium), we may as well replace the carpeting in the dining room and family room while we are at it. Finally, it has all been completed and looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. I came to realize, however, that I am not as young as I once was. At the end of a day of “remodeling,” I was bone tired and didn’t do anything exept exist in a zombie like state of infinite fatigue. Even two week end trips, one to the beach and one to the mountains, didn’t cure the fatigue. I am still tired, but I feel good that it has been completed.
I am also avoiding any of the “do it yourself” shows on television like the plague. I don’t want anyone to get any more “improvement” ideas, especially me.
